Kejo™ Cooling Suit
The Kejo™ cooling suit is designed to offer a safe and cool environment for people who must maintain a high level of efficiency and concentration under extreme heat.
The system is ideally suited for those involved in bomb disposal and surveillance operations as well as personnel in non air-conditioned armored vehicles.
The Kejo™ cooling system uses ice water to remove body heat produced during strenuous work, especially in hot environments. The suit requires no hazardous pressurized canister or toxic cooling agents. Made form machine washable fire retardant Nomex or Kermel. The Kejo™ cooling suit also offers protection against heat and flash fire. Testing of the suit on the effects of overpressure, fragmentation, ballistics, body impact and heat have shown this suit is suitable for use under the Kejo™ bomb suits, chemical suits and many other applications where body heat removal is desirable. The complete kit includes a one –piece suit design with cooling on trunk arms and legs, a close fitting open faced hood with cooling for the wearer’s head, a backpack cooling unit with pump and battery. The back pack also incorporates a hydration system and drinking pipe. A carry bag is included and all components can be sold separately.
Kejo™ Cooling Suit Specifications:
Performance: The pump draws 16 Watts (=1.33Amps when operated at 12 VDC)
The pump gives a measured flow rate of 16 ounces per minute (470 ml/min) at a pressure of 6.5 psi (about 0.45 bar) which results in improved cooling and a heat removal rate of 270 watts with the full suit.
System Endurance: The standard backpack pump uses only 4 Watts and will operate for 8 hours continuously on a set of 8 disposable AA batteries, or for 6+ hours on the standard Lithium Ion battery .The back pack used in conjunction with our Kejo™ EOD suit draws approximately four times the power of our standard pump:
2 hours on a set of 8 disposable AA batteries
1.5 hours on our Li-Ion battery
3 hours on our EOD special version of the Li-Ion battery (with double the number of cells) at 35% C (95% F).This battery is sold as standard equipment with all our cooling suit backpacks
